Catching up with a K&A Success Story: Andrews Tool Company

We always enjoy seeing the success of companies following an acquisition.  We’re particularly proud of this transaction because it helped a client in a very difficult situation.

In 2017, Karen Andrews’ attorney recommended she contact K&A.  Her husband, George, founded Andrews Tool Company, a manufacturer of proprietary airframe tools, in 1977.  His untimely passing in 2015 left Karen as sole shareholder of the company.  Fortunately, a tenured staff was in place to continue operations, but Karen decided that her best option was to sell the company.

As it is today, the market was strong for manufacturing companies back then and K&A’s process resulted in great interest from several buyer prospects.  Ultimately, the business was sold to serial entrepreneur Sol Kanthack.  Along with Karen Andrews’ satisfaction from the successful sale, Sol expressed his appreciation to K&A with his endorsement (here).

Since that point, Sol has led the company to new levels of growth.  He has orchestrated a complete rebranding of the company, introduced new product lines, relocated to a new facility and executed several domestic and international add-on acquisitions.  Following the latest strategic acquisitions, the company has rebranded as Corvaer.  According to Sol, “By adding these brands…we have the most capable line of power feed drilling solutions in the industry.”  For more information, visit www.corvaer.com.

K&A is proud of the entrepreneurs we represent on the sell-side as they harvest the equity they’ve spent so much time and effort to create.  At the same time we cheer on the success of those entrepreneurs that take the baton in the effort to continue the pursuit of excellence.
