To whom is interested,
I am pleased to announce the sale of ANZEA Textiles recently, that was brokered by Kasper & Associates. I had known Ed Kasper since 1985 when I was looking for a small acquisition. We spent some time together during that period getting to know each other. ANZEA was formed in 1990 in the commercial textile design and distributorship business. We did well and it became apparent in 2015 that my business partner and I needed to divest ourselves of the business because we were getting older without a succession plan in place. Based on my previous experiences with Ed and Layne Kasper, I knew who to contact for the sale of ANZEA.
This was a difficult proposition, as ANZEA was very design orientated, and needed day-to-day personal ownership attention. Absentee ownership was not a solution, so it was important to qualify any interested parties wanting to do a transaction. ANZEA, located in Fort Worth, Texas, was an international business with independent sales representatives marketing our textiles.
It took five years of deliberate work and communications to secure a viable partnership sale. We ended selling the company assets to a much larger competitor doing the same business. Throughout the entire five-year process Ed and Layne worked closely with us making presentations and updating our company profile. They never pushed too hard and were so supportive when we thought a sale was hopeless. We had a deal made before the Covid pandemic hit and we thought all was lost when the deal was terminated. Ed kept assuring me with faith and support that everything would end well. We managed to sell the company right in the middle of the pandemic to the original buyer prospect.
I need to say how very supportive the Kasper organization was reviewing and re-doing the financials, and editing my data as needed, for each buyer opportunity. They never gave up on us, and we never gave up on Kasper Associates. I am pleased to offer my personal recommendation to anyone who might need a reference and wants the best results orientated group representing them.
Thank you for reading.
