As Kasper & Associates (K&A) begins year 37, it’s notable that K&A has been most fortunate over the years to maintain a superb staff having superior credentials ideal for merger and acquisition advisory work. We’ve found that the only way to be successful in this adventure – with all its challenges, unpredictability and immensely high stakes – is an intimate relationship with God. With this in mind, Senior Associate Lud Jones has written a testimonial which provides his insight for you of his tenure at K&A. A slogan from a bank calendar states what can be said of Lud: “Great people are ordinary people with extraordinary amounts of determination.” Thanks to Lud for the following.
Nineteen years ago an opportunity was presented to me to join the K&A team in the merger and acquisition advisory field. After many years in public accounting which was followed by a partnership in insurance brokerage, a new business venture for me at K&A was launched.
Why? K&A was widely recognized in the business community for its integrity, honesty and business knowledge. This solid foundation was important to me when representing a client at the time when his/her “life work” reached the point at which harvesting his/her equity was to be accomplished through a successful transfer of ownership.
At K&A I’ve learned the importance of having thoroughness and flexibility which are so critical for recognizing, understanding and evaluating the unique characteristics of each client’s business. After this is properly done, K&A then focuses on compiling a custom client-oriented detailed report. This composition is vital for achieving an outcome satisfactory to our client.
Being a member of the K&A team has been most satisfying for me. Each associate has an advanced business degree and widespread business management experience. However, one Success Maxim which is front and center at K&A is that “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” And, without exception, each K&A team member’s focus is to represent our clients in their best interest. This more than anything has made my time with K&A quite enjoyable and rewarding.
